VSoft Lift Smooth PDO Threads
VSoft Lift Smooth PDO Threads are a specialized type of absorbable suture used for skin rejuvenation rather than a dramatic mechanical lift. While "barbed" threads physically pull the skin back, smooth threads are designed to act as a scaffold to improve skin quality from the inside out.
VSoft specifically is often cited by practitioners for its high tensile strength and specialized polymer coating, which allows for a slower absorption rate and, consequently, more prolonged collagen stimulation.
How They Work: The "Grid" Approach
Unlike a facelift where skin is pulled, smooth threads are typically inserted in a mesh or hashtag pattern (a grid) just beneath the skin.
Bio-stimulation: The presence of the thread triggers a "controlled healing" response.
Neocollagenesis: Your body begins producing new collagen and elastin around the threads.
Absorption: The threads (made of Polydioxanone) naturally dissolve over 3 to 6 months, but the new collagen structure they leave behind can last for 12 to 24 months.
